  • Students can "think outside the box" or from diverse perspectives by participating in quiz tournaments.
  • It encourages constructive dialogue among participants so they can benefit from one another.
  • In schools and universities, quiz tournaments support language development and specific subject areas.
  • Some educational institutions utilize it as a quick assessment or tool to gauge students' progress in their knowledge, skills, and talents, generally or only about certain subjects, like science, math, etc.

C. INVENTIVE TALENT HUNT

Increasingly, innovation in education at school is more than just a buzzword. It is fast becoming a way of learning and teaching for both students and teachers respectively. Innovation in education encourages students and teachers to research, explore, and use all the tools to uncover something new.

Innovation involves a different way of looking at problems and solving them. It also improves education because it compels students to use a higher level of thinking to solve complex problems. Innovation does not just mean the use of technology or new inventions, though these can contribute to innovation. Innovation involves a new way of thinking, thereby helping students develop their creativity and problem-solving skills.

·         Challenge students by giving them a problem that is both authentic and interesting

·         Give students the basics but keep it short

Our non-governmental organization (NGO), Nurture Academy Welfare Trust, is deeply committed to addressing the critical issue of nutrition awareness and its impact on maternal and child health. We believe that a collaborative effort with the East Medinipur under Nandigram CMOH area Health Department can bring about positive change and lasting benefits for our community.

As we are well aware, proper nutrition is a fundamental aspect of individual and community health. A well-balanced diet can prevent a myriad of health issues, such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer and malnutrition, among others. Unfortunately, many members of our community are not fully informed about the importance of nutrition and how to make healthier dietary choices.

Background and Rationale for POSHAN Abhiyaan “Suposhit Bharat, Sakshar Bharat, Sashakt Bharat”:

I am eager to initiate a Nutrition Awareness Program within our Government Advocacy. Addressing malnutrition in a holistic manner through life-cycle approach is core to Mission Poshan 2.0.

Project Description:

Our Proposed project, “SELF (Strategies, Education, Learning to Food)”.

To address this issue and promote better nutrition awareness, I am eager to initiate a Nutrition Awareness Program within our community. This program aims to educate and empower residents to make informed decisions about their dietary habits and improve their overall health.

It is designed to achieve the following objectives:

·         Raise awareness about the importance of nutrition during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and early childhood.

·         Provide nutrition education and counseling to expectant mothers and caregivers.

·         Distribute educational materials and resources on balanced diets, micronutrient supplementation, and hygiene practices.

·         Establish support groups and community-based workshops to facilitate knowledge sharing and peer support.

·         To emphasise the same, the focus of Poshan Maah this year is on awareness around key Human Lifecycle stages i.e., mother and child care and also communicable and non-communicable diseases for Nutrition based sensitization across East Medinipur, West Bengal.

I believe that this program can be a valuable asset to our community, and I would like to outline some key components of this initiative:

Educational Workshop:

Organize regular workshops/Seminar led by nutritionists and dietitians to educate community members about the basics of nutrition, meal planning, portion control, and the importance of different food groups.

Cooking Classes:

Offer practical cooking classes to teach residents how to prepare healthy and affordable meals using locally available ingredients.

Nutrition Counseling:

Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling sessions for individuals with specific dietary needs or health concerns.

Community Nutrition Gardens:

Encourage the establishment of community gardens to promote the cultivation of fresh, local produce and engage residents in sustainable, healthy food practices.

Resource Distribution:

Distribute informational pamphlets, brochures, and online resources that offer guidance on nutrition and healthy eating.

Collaborations:

Partner with local schools, community centers, and healthcare facilities to reach a wider audience and make the program accessible to all age groups.

Evaluation and Feedback:

Regularly assess the program's effectiveness through surveys and feedback from participants to make necessary improvements.

I understand that implementing such a program would require resources and support from the healthcare sector, local government, and community organizations. Therefore, I kindly request your involvement and support in championing this initiative. Your guidance and endorsement as the Chief Medical Officer of Health would greatly enhance the program's credibility and reach.

I am willing to work closely with your office and other relevant stakeholders to develop a detailed plan, secure necessary funding, and coordinate the efforts required to launch and sustain this Nutrition Awareness Program. Together, we can make a significant positive impact on the health and well-being of our community.

Expected Outcomes:

We anticipate that our project will lead to:

·         Improved nutritional status and health outcomes among pregnant women and children under five years old.

·         Increased awareness and knowledge about nutrition-related Communicable and Non-Communicable issues in the community.

·         Enhanced collaboration between the NGO and the Nandigram CMOH area Health Department.

Thank you for considering this proposal. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss this matter further and explore ways in which we can collaborate to improve nutrition awareness in our community. We look forward to your positive response, and we are excited about the opportunity to contribute to our community.
